A little about me: I live in beautiful La Jolla, CA after living overseas part time. I’m getting to know La Jolla and greater San Diego all over again and I write about the places we go. I also write about anything I find helpful in my own life (Crayola Stain Chart and Red Wine Spills on Rugs) and host the occasional organic/eco friendly giveaway. Every Wednesday my subject is wine, because I love it and I know others do too because that’s the day I usually get the most traffic! I also like to write about various charitable causes like Animals Asia Moon Bear Rescue (please read if you don’t know anything about it). I LOVE to travel and bake too. And shop and spa! 
I really enjoy checking out other SITS member blogs and try to follow everyone. I will follow you back if you subscribe to this blog or follow me on Twitter. Though if you do it by RSS, let me know so I don’t accidentally skip you!

I went to UCSD my freshman year many moons ago before transferring out east for college. La Jolla is a beautiful place and I haven’t been there in twenty years. I keep telling my husband that we should go. Especially now that we live in the midwest. Winters in La Jolla are very pleasant.

When I was 10, I went to San Diego with my nana. She had friends in La Jolla that we went to visit and I was helping her read the road signs. She turned on the exit that said La Jolla and I said, “That’s not La ‘Hoya’ that’s La ‘Jolla’ pronouncing the name like you would a J in my own name. Oh, how she laughed.

So excited for you on your big Featured Day! I think my computer is acting silly today, I wasn’t able to comment on your other posts. But I want to say that I am sooo glad I have never had to fly with my son for more then 2.5 hours. But I am jealous of how good you are with that routine!
