Come On In is one of my favorite places in La Jolla to have a casual bite. Before La Jolla Girl, we were regulars at half price bottle of wine nights on either Monday or Tuesday. Those were the days!
My usual order is a Come On In salad with chicken, sometimes with the carpaccio appetizer (I know odd combo, but they’re both so good) and ALWAYS with cake. The sauteed baby artichokes are also excellent and make it into my rotation too. They make the best coconut cake I’ve had so far. The banana cake is also a personal favorite.
When I’m in a pinch and need to take a dessert somewhere, I call a few days ahead and pick up a layer cake (again, usually coconut or banana). The cakes are reasonably priced for what you get, in my opinion. They can write a personal message on it too at no charge.
We’ve also always had great service at Come On In and breakfast is yummy too. Their entire menu is online here. Now there are 8 Come On In locations throughout San Diego! If you are in a hurry and happen to be near one, grab a slice of cake to go (I do it all the time, the slices are huge). Let me know what you think.

This place sounds delicious. I will put it on our list to visit next time we are in La Jolla, which I hope will be sooner than I think!
