Iran into BevMo the other day and saw this Lodi Zinfandel wine, but forgot to buy it. Thankfully, Brain Wines brought it over last night because he also heard it was good.
Right now, it’s marked down from $15.99 to $9.99 if you are a ClubBev member. If you’re not a ClubBev member, it’s free to sign up. Plus, right now you can get an extra $1 off BevMo vineyard partner wines which Zynthesis is. I’ve heard this wine has been a part of the BevMo 5 cent sale at a per bottle price of about $8.00 which is a dollar off it’s current pricing. I’m thinking this might be my Super Bowl wine. It would seem to go with dips, spicy salami/cheese platters and all the kind of stuff.
Winemakers Notes: “Zynthesis Old Vine Zunfandel hailing from the Zyn Zone of Lodi, is the product of 100 + year old vines. These old vines eke out small berries with dense boysenberry and blackberry fruit flavors. Add a smidgen of Syrah for spices, a dollop of Petit Sirah for depth, and a big of American Oak for toasty smoke, and you have a wine that embodies the Zynthesis credo. All for Zyn and Zyn for all!”
I should also mention that it’s got a whopping 14.8% alcohol content.
Rating 
I think at the current price, this is a fantastic deal. At full price, I’d knock at least a off.
